观致的品牌Logo位于散热器格栅上方正中央,大气自然。观致的品牌标识同样由何歌特率领的团队完成,主体是水平拉长的三维立体字母Q,赋予一种品质感。品牌名称“Qoros”采用大写字母,与标识共同组成一个图形。“我们的品牌标识就是稳固和信心的表现。”何歌特如此解释品牌设计的看点时说道。

After Chery has signed with the Israeli company Quantum LLC in 2008, receiving a 225 million USD investment which contributed to the birth of a new Chinese automaker named Qoros, the manufacturer is getting ready to take its business on a whole new level, announcing that it will take over Europe, by opening a new plant and seeking some customers on the way.

Why it is called Qoros in Chinese: Guanzhi (观致), this GuanZhi sound exactly same as another “Guanzhi” (官至) meaning “The official (boss) is arriving (coming)”. Guess what, this GuanZhi can might sell a big chunk to the government, because it is targetting the upmarket.

以色列集团是一家总部设于以色列特拉维夫的全球产业控股公司,也是以色列最大的私人公司之一,以长期投资化学品、能源、汽车、航运产业等基础工业与自然资源方面为主。

在欧美媒体“中国威胁论”的渲染下,加上中国平均接近10%的GDP增长,以及接近1900万辆的新车年销售量,让绝对控股以色列集团的Ofer家族代理人IdanOfer心痒不止。

这位以色列第二大富豪早在上世纪80年代初就与中国有了生意往来,在香港生活过7年,在新加坡生活过8年,还曾担任过以中关系协会会长。他自己也是个超级车迷,收集了很多超级跑车。而在《福布斯》2011年全球富豪排行榜上,Ofer家族以103亿美元的资产位居第79位,比宝马汽车控股人匡特家族的72位略低。

但是一切从头开始,意味着要投入更多的资金、人力和物力。于是股东双方商讨追加投资,将项目总投资追加到70亿元,注册资金为34亿元。追加资金的同时,奇瑞与以色列集团股东双方的股比从55:45变更为50:50。

观致需要独立运营也成为双方的共识。因此除了在上海的办公室外,离上海仅1小时左右车程的常熟成为观致新的生产基地。

在观致项目中,当以色列集团同意观致的商标所有权归奇瑞所有,而且生产出高品质汽车并重点开拓欧洲市场时,也获得了政府的支持,因此观致汽车股权变更、项目迁址很快得到发改委的批复。

首期年产能为15 万辆;首款产品为中级车,计划于2013 年在中国与西欧市场上市;在投产后的两年内陆续推出3 款新产品,1 款电动车也将紧随其后;立志成为使产品标准达到欧洲汽车质量、安全与排放标准,并大规模出口西欧的第一家中国汽车公司,40%产品外销。

观致汽车有实力为中国汽车与中国制造正名,这也是观致敢于向欧洲车叫板的原 因。

来自宝马MINI 的设计总监何歌特,担任观致汽车的首席设计师。还有来自瑞典萨博公司整车集成总工程师的毛杰、来自宝马整车性能与底盘总工程师的施可、来自通用中国电动工程经理的狄彼德,更多的还有来自欧宝、捷豹路虎、科尔尼、麦肯锡、菲亚特的高层。

观致招聘的大部分员工都来自欧洲,美国的比较少,而以后的观致汽车也会偏向于欧系车。“对欧洲大的车企来说,造车和开发的流程还是比较接近的,因为他们有一些比较通用的规范在那里,在这些相同的流程下整合人才相对来说简单一些。”在郭谦看来,观致现在面临的是重建企业文化,将各路精英融合的巨大挑战。

观致目前在德国慕尼黑、奥地利格拉兹和中国上海拥有研发设计中心。通过这种“外包”合作,观致以约300名员工的规模,建立了一支包括来自中国、欧美和亚太合作伙伴在内的3,000 余人的专业技术团队。

比如,德国知名零部件供应商格特拉克,将向观致汽车供应双离合变速箱6DCT250以及6速手动变速箱,这是其首次向中国汽车企业供应双离合变速箱6DCT250。格特拉克是全球最大的独立变速器制造商,目前为奥迪、通用、宝马等超过40家全球汽车制造商提供产品及技术支持。

“我们是完全原创的车,有着欧系车的品质,同时也尊重中国消费者对空间和尺寸的需求,第一款车是中级车像高尔夫和速腾这样的级别。”

苹果公司的成功在于两点:一种是拥有专利权的专项技术的创新;而另一种则是把各种先进技术集成到一起的能力,给消费者提供超乎他们想象的消费体验。

Rumors say that the cars that will roll off the European assembly line are codenamed CF1X, CF11, CF14 and CF16, where the CF11 and CF14 will be sedans, and the CF16 will be a sports utility model.


Chery-Quantum JV company officially adopts Qoros name

The new joint venture between Chery and Quantum has officially adopted the Qoros name for its company, China Business News reported today. The venture was established in 2007 with a 3.4 billion yuan ($533.77m) registration fee.

Despite the fact that both Chery and its Israeli partner Quantum having a 50 percent share of the new venture, all of the intellectual rights will stay in China. According to Guo Qian, JV president and board chairman, Qoros vehicles will adhere to European standards and be destined for export to foreign markets. The brand is scheduled to begin business overseas in 2013.

The Qoros venture has brought Gert Hildebrand, chief designer of the Mini, out of retirement to join its design team. Former top-level VW executive Volker Steinwascher, meanwhile, will be representative of Quantum’s parent company Israeli Corporation. The venture has also managed to attract managerial, engineering and design talent from international manufacturers such as GM, Jaguar Land Rover, Saab and Opel. On the supplier side, Qoros has the support of several internationally recognized suppliers, including Magna Steyr and Bosch.

奇瑞量子Qoros车型明年进军欧洲市场

《德国金融时报》(Financial Times Deutschland)日前报道称,奇瑞量子与汽车设计研究公司麦格纳-斯太尔(Magna Steyr)开展合作以来,共同打造奇瑞量子Qoros车型,并准备从明年开始将该车型推向欧洲等市场,初步构想业已浮出水面。

  奇瑞量子是奇瑞汽车与以色列集团各持50%股份成立的合资子公司,与零部件巨头麦格纳旗下奥地利分部麦格纳-斯太尔汽车设计研究公司建立合作关系,由后者负责新车系统工程开发。根据《德国金融时报》消息,奇瑞量子将在Qoros品牌下生产三款紧凑型车,同时面向中国本土市场和西方市场,按照计划将从2012年开始向欧洲市场出口。

  Qoros新车售价将在1.1-1.5万欧元(9.48-12.93万人民币)之间。在麦格纳-斯太尔主持设计之下,设计、生产和质量标准均完全对标欧美。新车将在常熟建厂生产,初步产能为15万辆/年,未来将提升至50万辆/年。不过关于Qoros车型的技术细节和欧洲市场经销计划等,目前公司尚未公开。

  麦格纳-斯太尔位于奥地利格拉茨(Graz),曾受戴姆勒、宝马等车企委托,设计并代工生产梅塞德斯G级越野车、宝马X3、Mini Countryman和标致RCZ等车型,之前与国内一汽红旗、一汽大众、上汽集团和陕汽集团有过技术合作。

SHANGHAI (AP) — Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co. and partner Israel Corp. are launching a new brand, seeking fresh appeal both overseas and in the slowing local market.

The 50-50 joint venture Qoros Automotive Co., introduced Monday at Shanghai’s former Expo zone, intends to be one of the first Chinese car makers to meet stringent 2013 Euro auto safety standards, the companies said.

Chery and Israel Corp., an industrial holding company, originally launched their joint venture as Chery Quantum Auto Co., in 2007. Since then, the company has kept a relatively low profile.

Originally, the plan was for Chery, one of China’s biggest independent automakers, to contribute “in kind” as in many joint ventures, providing, for example, land or workers. But that vision has evolved to one of starting from scratch, said Volker Steinwascher, vice chairman of Qoros.

Chery is now only a financial investor, leaving the company free to develop its own models and keep the brand separate.

“You don’t have to have any legacies,” Steinwascher said in an interview.

Qoros plans to introduce its first model, a compact sedan, in China and Western Europe in 2013, executives said. After that, plans call for a hatchback, an SUV and then an electric vehicle.
